Hopeful for some advice.
I am planning to travel to Canada for a holiday this summer with a group of friends from the UK. One of the group overstayed in the US by a period of one year, 9 years ago. He left the US voluntarily in 2004 and has not attempted to return. He now has a new passport. Will the border officials in Canada be alerted to his period of overstaying in the US? Will he need to declare it on arrival in Canada? Will it effect his admission to Canada?
Grateful for any views
