Enter Canada with eTA with a pending YP visa

Hi,

I've applied for a Young Professionals Visa & completed all the steps (including the biometrics) and am now waiting for my final acceptance but my flight is in 4 days!

Can I enter Canada with an eTA, not work (confirmed with my employer) & wait for my Young Professionals Visa?
Will I need to leave the country to transfer from the eTA to the YPV?

I don't see any issues in that case. Once the YP is approved, you'll need to leave Canada and re-enter to activate it.
