Enter Canada as Student or Skilled Immigrant?

Hi Guys -

I have completed my MBA in marketing from India and have about 2Yrs of work ex as of now. I would like to move to canada and settle there. I have figured out that there are 2 options for entering Canada.

1. To enter Canada as a student
2. Under the Immigration Skill.

Can someone suggest me what would be a better option with pro's n cons of the above two options.

If entering Canada as student is a better option...can you also suggest courses / colleges which are in-line with my present occupation. I am working as an Analyst for an digital agency. So, the course I would like to pursue is to deal with digital advertising / media.

Your experience not seems to be present in the 29 demanded occupations. 1122 will not suit you.

So student visa is a better option

Hi MaryLee - Thanks for replying back. Well, I have gone through the skilled worker occupation list and I have observed that the roles for advertising consultants are very much included and I believe my current occupation fits into that. Would request you suggest me taking this into consideration whether to choose for a student visa or an immigration visa.

You can go for both. Apply for immigration and check weather your application is accepted and there is any space available in 500 cap.

If not, apply for study permit than

Immigration visa is the best option. You will get study loans and will free to work in Canada. Your tuition fee will almost half as compered to international students

For skilled immigration visa, you have to wait 8 - 12 months minimum
