Please I would like to know if its necessary to upload my C.V (the one I used while applying for admission) along with other documents for the study permit. Again, is the letter of explanation the same as the SOP?

no need to upload cv.
only sop is required along with the necessary document listed on check list to apply for study permit.
letter of explanation and sop are same.
