Hi ,

Suppose In my passport surname is blank and my given name is Mohammed zaid Siddiqui .
I have filled in wes form first name as Mohammed, middle name as zaid and last name as Siddiqui .
How am I suppose to proceed further in my degree transcript form and other documentation ? I have not yet asked my university to send transcript. How do I contact wes to ask about the name format or change ? What surname or given name I give in my degree transcript . Pls help .

Hi!

Firstly, you should ensure your complete name is recorded on your passport. This will not only help in this situation but also in future documentation. Next, at my university, they don't allow me to change the name on the transcript. They will use the name that was registered at the time of the examination. If your university allows changing your name format, then keep it as what you have filled in WES form. However, for identification purposes, WES checks only the passport. If they notice discrepancies and have questions, they will contact you as needed. But you should reach out to them here before you start the process: https://www.wes.org/help

In my case, my passport had my full name (eg. Rahul Menda) whereas my transcripts had (Rahul M). I did not find any problem with WES. But when I got my WES report, they mentioned "The names on one or more of the academic credentials submitted for evaluation differ from the name indicated above." I am not sure if this will be a problem in my PR application though; let's see.

Hope this helps!

Thanks
