Hi guys! I am planning to further my education to enhance my CRS points, but am confused by the ECA requirement. Would be grateful for your advice and suggestion!
By way of background, I am a degree holder (awarded by a recognised institution) and have been working in a skill level B job for almost 2 years. With a relative low CRS score, I have started looking into different courses offered by local institutions to earn the '2 or more certificate/diploma' bonus points. I am almost certain that my 4-year degree would be recognised by ECA. However, after doing some research online, it seems that it is impossible to pre-verify if a particular certificate/diploma is recognised, and hence I'm kind of stuck - it would be a waste of money and time if at the end the course I have taken is not recognised.
May I know, for the additional certificate/diploma I'm planning to take:
- is full-time education a must? or does a part-time diploma also work?
- what is the length requirement? 1 year/2 year or above?
- do learning hours matter?
- do credits matter?
- do the number of semesters matter?
The following link is one of the programmes I am considering: https://hkuspace.hku.hk/prog/postgrad-dip-in-info-technology-part-time-mode
Would be much grateful for your thoughts and comments!
