Is there any option if English is your native language? Must you still take a test to prove it?

Yes you must take the test.

I'd also add that, even if English is your native language, you should study a little for the IELTS because it's a tough exam. You don't have time to do everything so you must learn how to do the test.

Thanks for the heads up - I was under the impression that there would have been an exemption for this sort of thing. I'll look into the tests.

No exemptions - mandatory for all.

I am just wondering what did the graduates who are eligible doing about this?

Your question isn't clear. If you are asking if you must take a language test in order to qualify to apply under EE - the answer is yes. It doesn't matter if you are applying under CEC or FSW. Completing a language test is mandatory. You'd better hurry up and sign up since it may take a number of weeks to get a free spot.
