Hello all,
I am a Canadian living in Denmark with my Danish husband. We are waiting patiently while his application for residency is being processed...
He is an engineer here in Denmark and has his masters in civil engineering. We are going to be settling in my home province of Alberta. He is hoping to find work as soon as possible in his field, but we are not sure of any steps to take to get him registered. I have contacted APEGGA, the engineering governing board for Alberta, but would love any input if anyone on this forum has had any experience in this area.
Much appreciated,
Canadamom.

I work for multi-discipline engineering firm in Edmonton. The firm itself has permit to practice under APEGGA, as well as the Peng. His first step would be to enquire for registration as you've done, but then there would be a period of work under a registered firm before he could fully be credited. So you have the first step right.

Best of luck
