What is your actual plan? After working 2 years in a reputed gas & oil company why did you chose such course. I am a graduate from that college in the subject of Instrumentation Engineering Technician. That subject is very new. And honestly, it doesn't have any prospect in the job market. I will suggest you to reconsider your decision and find a better subject as well as the course. And that place thunder bay is very cold.

The course structure offers both project management as well as business studies. I would like to change from core engineering to management. Please help me out with industries in thunder bay too and your suggestions for different courses.

There are only few companies in thunder bay which hires engineering students. Nordmin Engineering which relies heavily on Auto CAD work, then they have Resolute forests which is a pulp industry and they have Bombardier Transportation. Job depends on your individual skill. No one can grantee about this. But according to me, you should go for Electrical Engineering technology and telecommunications technician. These courses are business for the college. I am not discouraging you but this is the harsh reality. Thanks. N.B. For telecommunications, you have tbay tel, bell and some others. I hope my information helps you.

Hey! I have an admit for INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN - PROCESS AUTOMATION AND CONTROL (Sep '16) from CONFEDERATION. is it true, that its the only Instrumentation Engineering Technician program in the province of Ontario that has earned national accreditation status? as Graduate of this particular program can you tell me what are the things i can look forward and the job prospects. i'd like to take some pointers from you!

The accreditation doesn't mean anything !!! You will need a Red seal certification for finding a suitable job in instrumentation field. And the latest update is, the best instructor mike bertone along with Hopper retired from the college. So there is no way that you will learn instrumentation from any other instructor. To be honest with you, don't waste your money. Try to go for masters.

With my backlog count ,i doubt i'd secure any admits for a Masters Program from a University. What if Colleges are my only go. you still wouldn't Recommend Confederation over colleges like Durham and Lambton? and also if you don't mind can you help me with your Email ID. so that i can mail you and get my doubts cleared if i were to go through with this course. :)

Dear Sharon, I got admission to EBSM as well. If you are onto safety related work experience, this is the best option.
