My colleague would like to engage the services of a Canadian immigration attorney for filing his EE profile. I told him about this forum but he feels more comfortable with taking someone's services for the work. My question to the forum members is:

Has anyone here engaged a Canadian immigration attorney (e.g. Cohen Campbell) and what has been the experience so far?

I noticed that some members mentioned that their consultants receive communication from CIC / VO and they then forward it to the applicants. Is there any additional assistance that these consultants provide? Job search? Landing assistance? Finding accommodation etc?

Please advise. I'm trying to tell my colleague to use the forum and save his $$ but he seems to believe that consultants, especially the ones in Canada are required for speedy and flawless execution.

Pros and cons please. Thanks!

Any inputs (pros / cons) are greatly appreciated.

- Since they (the Canadian consultants) work on so many applications, it is less likely for them to make errors in application - e.g. mismatch in forms, check documents before submission etc: TRUE / FALSE
- They control communication with CIC / VO; so it is unlikely that important communication will land up in SPAM folders: TRUE / FALSE
- They can order GCMS notes for the applicant, hence improving experience by following up on the required notes: TRUE / FALSE
