Employment /Source of Income

My husband (PR) is going to sponsor me to get a PR. My husband is a PhD student currently. For the Employment /Source of Income, I am wondering if he is working in Canada or not.

Um...if he is a PhD student...how does that translate to working? How does he earn money?

While there is no income requirement for spousal sponsorship, he does have to show how he will support you (for up to 3 years after you become a PR) without the use of Social Assistance.

Thank you so much for your quick response. He has a supervisor paying him for PhD studies. I have my own funding as a PhD student and I have health insurance.
