'Employment requirements' doesnt match with 'Job duties' in NOC

Hello everyone,

I am in a peculiar situation as of now. I am having issues with selection of NOC. I have done M.Sc. (Environmental science) and have been working as refinery laboratory technician/chemist since last 10 years. As per my education my NOC should be 2263 but as per my job duties it comes out to 2211/2112.

Which NOC should I choose to avoid further complications during my case review????

Education doesn't matter. Pick the noc with the closest matching duties.

I have degree in Microbiology and I still opted for 2112 because my Work Experience was under 'Quality Assurance and Quality Control'. Opt for NOC code that matches your Job Duties, because initially you will try to find work under that same category as you're working here.
