Hi everyone,

I am seeking some advice on my PR application.

I have already applied for my PR under CEC category in EE.

I am reading a lot of posts here that talk about failure to fulfil requirements of employment reference letter resulting in application refusal. This is making me really nervous.

Background: I finished my 2 years Computer Programming diploma from Canada in Jan 2018, got my PGWP in Feb 2018 and I've been working since Mar 2018 as a Website Coordinator for a non-profit healthcare organization. I'm using this work experience as 2 years Candian work experience. Upon requesting a reference letter based on requirements as per IRCC, my HR advisor was only able to provide me with a template that she had. As per her, she's only authorised to provide that much details in my employment confirmation letter.

Template is printed on my employer letter head, has this information (not in this order):
  • Confirmation of my start date(as I am still employed with same employer, it reads working since date)
  • My annual salary
  • It says I work on a full-time permanent position
  • Job title
  • HR reps contact information with her signature (She mentioned if any other questions about my employment, she can be contacted)
What it doesn't has is number of hours per week and job duties.

Upon asking HR rep about adding job duties to the this reference letter, she said she unfortunately can't add that information there but recommend me sending my job description along.

After doing some brainstorming, what I ended up doing was making a PDF with these documents:
  • Reference letter
  • 2 T4s (last two years)
  • 3 recent pay stubs
  • Employment offer letter (this has number of hours/week information)
  • Job description
Question: Is this enough to convince Visa officer? What are the chances I could face a refusal due to this?

If so, does it allow resubmitting a document? Would I be able to resubmit a new proper reference letter? At that point I will try asking someone from my team to write it for me. Or should I consider that now and submit it as an updated document since my application is still under review.

Worst comes worst, if I get a refusual, would I need to get another ITA? I'm really concerned as I'm on a PGWP, which expires in Feb 2021, if I would end up getting a refusal not sure what my options would be.

Timeline:
ITA: May 15
AOR: July 14

Please help!
Thanks so much in advance!

If u wont have job duties on the reference letter then there are chances of refusal buddy
You have to request ur hr to give u a reference letter as per noc job code
Better go to a immigration consultant and make them write a Job duties letter for you and then pass them to ur hr and ask her to copy paste on the letter head.
And then it should be all simple
