Employment Reference Letter and Primary Occupation

  • I am working with my current employer for over six years. in these 6 years, I have close to 4 years experience in NOC A and slightly over two years of recent experience in NOC 0.
  • Prior to my current company, I have worked with a few different companies for another 4 years of NOC A experience.
  • I can get a reference letter from my current employer (3+ years NOC A, and 2+ years NOC 0 ). However, I feel it will be very difficult to get the letters from my previous employers.
I had a few questions, which I will be very greatfful if anyone can answer:

1. Since I can get the maximum CRS points that I could receive from the letter from my current employer,
Is it ok, if I just mention only this 6+ year experience in my EE profile application and not mention the
Experience with other companies?

2. I read in another thread in this forum that for all the years of experience you mention in your EE profile,
You have to provide experience letters. If that is the case, is it ok to skip the experience for which I don’t
have, cannot obtain the experience letters for my EE profile?

3. I also read in the same thread that one has to provide all employment details in the “Background
Declaration” Post ITA, including those that one has not claimed points for in EE profile. Is this correct, and will it be ok for there to be additonal employment details in the background declaration that I have
omitted from the EE profile as I did not wish to claim points for them.

4. Do NOC’s A and 0 have equal value, and since I have more experience in NOC A than 0, should I choose that as my primary occupation, even though I have more recent experience in NOC 0?

Best regards & Thanks in advance.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
1 - Yes as long as you manage to meet the eligibility requirements under the six selection factors of the FSW program.
2 - Yes but you must state those previous positions under the personal history section once you receive an ITA. No proof of employment will be required.
3 - See #2.
4 - You can choose NOC 0 but again you have to make sure you still meet the eligibility criteria (67 out of 100) points required under the FSW program.

@DelPiero07 , Many thanks for your reply. I have filled in the details accordingly.
I had few more queries, I would be happy if you, or anyone else could help me with.
1. While checking my eligibility in the eligibility tool (one that generates a reference number), I had declared that I have a relative in Canada (which I do) However, arranging proof for the same could be a tedious process and it does not affect my eligibility (fsw grid points are still above 67) if I dont get the additional points. Is it ok to change my answer in the EE profile application? and other than the extra eligibility points, does having a relative in Canada help anywhere else in the process?
2. In the same tool, I had declared that I would bring X amount of $ to Canada, which was in excess of the minimum required. On further evaluation of my personal finances, I have decided it would be best to stick to the officially required amount + only slightly more.
Does declaring more money than minimum required (if one has it, of course) help in affecting the acceptance of the application, etc?
3. There is a field which asks whether, you have applied for IRCC before. I had applied for and received a visitor visa a few years back through a travel agent. So I suppose I should answer YES to that question. However, it asks for a UCI No. I dont know what that is/ dont have it. I checked on the old receipt and it doesn’t mention it either. Is it ok to leave UCI no. Blank?
4. For the education (outside canada) I suppose it would suffice to enter the highest credential? Am I correct? As that is what I have received ECA for from WES.

Best regards & thanks in advance.
