I had the same issue with my spouse's work and everyone here told me to shift his work to personal history but the question is when they ask me about Does (my spouse) have any work experience? I have to answer No because I am not including anything in the work section ( Which is not right since he had lots of work experience !!!)
I may add the one that he had in Canada at least I would answer Yes.

We must answer yes and include all work under work history. Claiming points is diff issue and if that req is fulfilled it's all fine.

What do you think?

There is no requirement that you must answer yes. The instructions say you should. This is likely cic wanting you to list foreign and Canadian work so that you will be invited under a stream of their choosing.

But the point here is that it isn't penalised by the officers if you do move it.
How can you be sure about it. People rejected due to wrong advise don't come back and tell everything. This forum is only 1℅ of total applicants. The world is big beyond what you see. This forum is a big source of info but not the ultimate.

CIC on their website state that for spouse only Canadian work experience should be listed

"In an Express Entry profile, should I only include the minimum work experience needed to qualify for one of the programs, or should I include more?
To qualify for the broadest range of programs, including the Federal Skilled Worker Program, you should include work experience for the last 10 years. We also need this information for an application for permanent residence, no matter which program you are applying under."

Should, not have to.

I included all of 5. Yrs though only 3 yrs was req. Total three jobs of same NOC. It gives option of one job being rejected, we still remain with same CRS. So it is always in our benefit to include all jobs in work history.

They can still ask for Additional docs if it is included in work history otherwise not

Good tactic, but if you have a background of 5+ part time Noc C jobs that will not count on any level, why waste the VO's time by declaring them all and them having to recalculate each time they are discounted?

Does that include cases where you are not claiming for any Canadian work experience from the Spouse? E.g. if it was all just NOC C or below?

This is diff issue. One may avoid it, as it is not imp but I would still put it in work history. Work is work. Personal history only means your activities distributed during all these years. Why apply intelligence where not required.

I am not sure because they never say which kind of job to include; they just say any work in Canada.

I moved all of my spouse's foreign work to personal history and I may add his only Canadian job in the work history even though I am not claiming any points out of it.

If that was true then they wouldn't allow you to add any more experience using 'employment' as an option. It would just be 'unemployment', 'Government' or whatever.

The fact that personal history allows you to add additional work experience means that it isn't inherently not allowed.

That's correct.. you can do that

The whole logic is that, we have to put all work in work history. Now when you have claimed 3 yrs work for points what an officer do is to find min 3 yrs of work in NOC O A B with req docs among all the work listed. Rest all is extra and additional work which is fine. Shifting is not required.

Very true, but also each officer, if they are not satisfied with the work proof or the noc code isn't skilled, I get the impression they discard it and have to recalculate each time. If their job is anything like mine for checklists it's likely more a pain than anything else.

As there is no danger of the application being rejected provided your points don't change, I don't see why we can't help the officer finish early on a friday ;)
