Thanks for your prompt answer. These are great points. I was actually not aware that if your CRS score is decreased but still above the cut-off they don't mind. To me, they mind everything :)

I cannot see that recalculation of CRS before uploading section and the picture you posted does not seem to be working for me.
Well The forum is not letting me post pics for some reasons. That's why I actually sent the tiny pic url. You will see the pic under the "Tags: Click to Add Tags" of the tiny pic url..

That's right they keep your application if u were above the cutoff..

I now see that. For strange reasons, I don't have that preview button! This website always giving me problems. Sometimes there is a slot for LOE shown in document upload section as well as the fee schedule table and sometimes they aren't shown!

Hi there,

do we need all our work experience / reference letters be issued recently? I have got letters from my past companies in 2012. Do I need to go to them and get fresh letters issued? or Can I use the old ones?

Use old ones as there is no restriction on this. However, you should make sure that the job responsibilities match the NOC that you are selecting. The reason that people get it fresh is to mold it in a way so as to accommodate the NOC and CIC requirements. If you think your letter sufficiently covers that area you have no problem.

Good luck

Is this the latest draw's cut-off or the minimum so far? I think I need to make sure about this. Do you have any reference to refer to about it or do you have any personal experience?

It is from CIC. I can't find the page now, but you can quote me on this !!
The cut-off in the draw when you were given ITA.
Good luck !

Have you ever seen this CRS tool: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp. It says to get 50 points for foreign work experience, you need to have worked for 3 years in "only one occupation". I have three years but not in one NOC. On the other hand, in the actual application, it does not mention "only one occupation" nor it does the "past 10 years" as in the tool. Confused!

I have for sure seen this tool. The tool does not says it should be for a 3 year in one occupation. You need to have one continuous full time year experience in one NOC to be eligible for Express Entry. Read the details again in the tool and you will understand this.

Good luck !

Just to clarify more:

Skilled work experience
Your work experience MUST be:
  • at least ONE YEAR (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous full-time or an equal amount in part-time,
  • paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships do not count),
  • IN THE SAME JOB,
  • within the last 10 years, and
  • at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 National Occupational Classification (NOC).
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

Now I am going to restructure above for a better understanding, and actually this restructuring is the way to read above.:

Your work experience MUST be at least ONE YEAR continuous full-time or an equal amount in part-time, paid work , IN THE SAME JOB, within the last 10 years, and at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 National Occupational Classification (NOC).

I agree with you Faraz. I think this is for the eligibility for FSW not for CRS point calculation. Thanks.
