Just wanted to confirm if the following letter format, which I have signed from my manager contains the required details or not. I am attaching the last 4 salary slips as I do not work here anymore. Would this suffice?

To Whom It May Concern,

This is to certify that Mr.XX was employed with YYY Limited from Oct xx,20XX to June XX,20XX as a Business Consultant in the Retail department. He was a full-time employee, working 40 hours a week. His annual salary was Rs.xxxxxxxx. His duties were as follows:-
  • Develop business strategy for clients.........
  • Research, develop and execute..... -Conduct periodic .... -Maintain...... -Make proposals....
  • Identify revenue....
  • Contribute towards......
  • Develop quarter......
The above list in indicative only, and he may have performed other duties as well based on requirements. This letter is issued on specific request by Mr.XXX

Yes this letter would suffice. I just got a letter in the same exact format. just make sure that the below are included before you receive it
- your date of employment
-your hours per week
-your salary( to show it is not voluntary experience)
-your duties
signed and stamped(preferably)

Good Luck

Thank you for your response. I assume pay slips do not need to be attached with this or should I attach them just in case?

Yes attach payslips too. And contracts if you have it would be OK. If not, still good.

Payslips are not required but attach them if you have them.

However, I just want to point out that the letter should be signed by your direct supervisor. If possible, I would add a sentence stating that ".. he reports directly to me.. "

Hi! And thank you! The person signing was my direct supervisor. I will see if I find a document which testifies to the same as getting another letter might be a little tricky since I am in another country. However , if it is necessary to have that mentioned I will definitely have it added.

Also, I have pay slips so might as well attach them.

PS. If anyone finds this format useful please use it by all means as the respondents have tweaked it to perfection.

As long as the letter is signed by the supervisor or personnel officer, you should be good to go.
