In re to PR application, I have 2 slots to upload employment letters, 1 for each position I've held. However, I've only worked in 1 company and my letter mentions my position and dates, and then the promoted position and dates. Should I just upload the same letter twice?

yes. Or delete one of them and just mention the entire employment tenure as a single line item provided both positions had the same NOC.

Nah, too risky (i think) to have them as one because they as for dates and positions. I'll just upload twice.

Btw, i really need to upload my supervisor's business card? His phone number and email address are in letter.

Not needed as those details are in the letter and the company information (address, website, telephone, email)is also on the letterhead hopefully somewhere.

If we have the scan of the business card available, do we just add the scanned page as part of the letter?

I'm expecting an ITA in the next few draws am wondering if I need to have any payslips, business card along with the employer letter as one PDF or the system gives multiple areas where this info can be uploaded.

Has to be 1 pdf per line item of employment. You can add multiple pages in that pdf but there is a file size limit as well. Pay slips and business cards are supporting documents required only if the reference letter doesn't cover everything CIC asks for.

Thanks Asivad.

Just to confirm though size is 4mb per document?
Sounds about right, can't recall the exact size limit. Someone with a live ITA can confirm.

Although I do wonder that including payslips in certain cases may avoid confusion and strengthen the case even if the letter includes all CIC stipulated details. For example the letter generally will include gross pay and the bank account statement might show a different number due to tax and other deductions. Having a payslip can easily allow for a reconciliation if the VO is verifying details.

CIC isn't actually keen on knowing your personal financials. They simply want to ascertain that your work experience was paid employment. And that fact is established in the reference letter when the organization mentions your salary and benefits. The VO won't lose a moment's sleep over any discrepancies between your gross salary mentioned in your employment letter and your net salary that is credited into your bank after deductions - that is in the purview of your personal income tax domain and they don't care about that.

Hope that clarifies.
