Hi all, I am wondering if you can advise if CIC will give me any trouble about the following:

I am CEC and have been invited to apply. I am on PGWP right now. My first question is if it is OK that it may look like I was out of the country for more than 6 months while on my PGWP. I did enter Canada, for only 1 day, but in my travel history it is hard to tell. I travelled for 4 months, came back for 1 day, then travelled for 3 months again.

2nd question... My work experience is as follows:
December 15th, 2014 to
June 12th, 2015
PLUS
August 22nd, 2016 to
February 24th 2017.

I have done the math and it is exactly 26 weeks at each job, so a total of 52 weeks. Techincally a year has 52.1 weeks though. I know I am splitting hairs here lol, but are they likely to think it is odd that I only have EXACTLY the amount required? (Or potentially a could days short if days count..?:? :(.) In each job i was working 40+ hours each week.

Thank you

I think if you can provide sufficient documents to prove your 52 weeks of full time work experience, such as Job reference letter, pay stubs, offer letter etc. you should be fine.

To me it seems odd that you came back for onlyh one day. But I'm not sure why you're concerned about being out of the country.

Remember that one year (52 weeks) is the MINIMUM requirement. You are not splitting hairs, this is how IRCC will examine your experience.

When did you get the ITA? You cannot count the time after the ITA towards meeting the 1 year minimum requirement. And although one or two days short might not get you refused (but it still could), any more than that certainly will.

So if you are at all in doubt - you might want to decline the ITA and wait for the next round (assuming you are still working).
