Employment Insurance Benefits Requirement

Hello Everyone,

The following is copied from the checklist:

“Important documents for you or your sponsor showing that you are recognized as each other's spouse (such as employment or insurance benefits). (Minimum 1 document)”

I'm currently working a Temporary position and do not get any coverage. My two questions are

a) Do I need to sign up for insurance coverage to satisfy the above requirement?
b) If I decide to sign up, do I get Health Insurance or Life Insurance?

I didn't show any insurance benefits though I have full-time permanent job, I had TFSA account in my bank so I added my wife as beneficiary & sent a copy of that page which has her name on it. Also you can sign up with CRA account or if you already have it then change your marital status to "married" & attach a screenshot. These two should be fine, mine worked just fine, got my sponsor approval & AOR so all good, cheers
