Hi All,

1. Regarding employment history, they request reference for each employer in last 10 years and it must have company letter head. What if the company doesn't exist anymore and I only have contract on paper without company letter head, would it be sufficient to send this along with some payslips and a letter explaining company doesn't exist anymore?

2.I'm applying through the FSWP NOC:2174, with me as main application and my wife. On the generic application, do I need to enter my wife details in the dependent section even though she is not financially dependent on me and works full time? If yes then what would I select on section that says how they are dependent.

Thanks

Please ignore point 2, I've already posted this on another message, which I couldn't find earlier so asked again.

Thanks

u said u have applied under 2174.. does your job title exact similar to the one's in 2174 category. Can you plz tell me what is sub-cap means?

thanks and sorry to ask you question when you are asking it too.

Hi,

My current job title is Senior software developer, before this it was software developer and before this it was listed at Junior Developer in contract in my first job.
My title matches that of the examples they have given when you go to the 2174 list.

Could you please explain what you mean by sub-cap?

Thanks

You can see a note on the website that there is sub-cap of 1000 in each of the eligible 50 occupations. My wife was HR officer and before that Manager learning solutions. Now we are thinking if it comes under HR manager or any sub-cap

One other thing I'm unclear on is to get maximum points for work you need 6 years of experience, does that mean the job titles have to match for those 6 years, because I only have about 6.5 year experience but started as junior developer and so on.

that is exact my question

It seems we are both in the same boat :D, if sending contracts is optional can always get previous employees to change title to software developer from "junior developer" or "developer" in their references, as the job was the same.

Has anyone else encountered same issue as me where the company they used to work for no longer exists and can't get reference? I only have contract and without this employment on file I can't get 6+ years experience.

To claim points, the jobs can be in any other positions as long as they are in NOC O, A or B. You only need to have 1 year of continuous work experience in the NOC code that you are applying for to qualify. Also, it's the actual duties performed that counts, not the job title.
