Greetings to all:
I really need your advices in here, please help me.
They said that the processing time of work permit is 6months but in my case I've waited for almost 9months. I submitted my documents to the Canadian Embassy here in Singapore last November 25, 2008. Until now i got no reply yet from them. Newly met friends told me that their employer made an extra effort to make their applications a bit faster. First, they told me that their employer called up an officer/office (something/someone) there in Canada (they forgot the name). Second, their employer sent a letter to the embassy (where their applicant submitted the application) stating that "this applicant must be in Canada for this date because we need his/her service very badly". Next month they'll be leaving for Canada.
My questions is, would it be possible? Can i ask my employer to do the same thing? It is not that i don't trust them but i just want to hear a second opinion and as much as possible i want to hear it from anybody here. Please guys, i really need help especially my LMO will be expiring soon, Sept. 20, 2009.
As per subject, what an employer can do in order to make the processing of work permit a bit faster? Because it's been out of the given time already.
Hope to hear from you guys and it is greatly appreciated....
