Employer To Renew LMO

My Girlfriend is in Alberta and her employer needs to renew her LMO. How long does this take.

Her work permit will expire in Oct.

So when should her employer renew the LMO and when should she renew her work permit. Is this done after the LMO or before.

Her employer needs to get a new LMO before she can renew her work permit. She should budget at least 2 months for the processing time of the LMO.

Make that 3 and a half months. Right now, I'm on my 9th week for a re-tried LMO and it seems like they take anywhere from 11 - 15 weeks.
