Employer sponsor PR

Hi guys
I am currently in Canada on a closed work permit and I am planning to apply for PR next year. Even though I am trying my best to apply without employer sponsorship, in case if I had to get extra points to support my application so I apply with employer sponsor, after getting approval for my pr , do I have to work for the employer for one more year or work for any anyone?

It depends on which immigration stream. Anywhere from several months to well over a year.

Since you aren't applying until next year, it's hard to guess processing times.

You should be prepared for processing times of anywhere from six months to over a year. That's probably the best guess any of us can give you right now.
