Employer requirements - Minimum no. of employees and turnover

hi guys, i am planning to apply under the cec for PR, but still confused about the employer position. is there any criteria that, there have to be a minimum no. of employees and a certain amount of turnover per year for the company.. Because, I am the only person working here along with my owner.. the company is in existence from 20 yrs and serves major industries. I am on my 3 yr post graduation work permit. I work at a machine shop.. please help.. thanks in advance..

I dont see why your company of 2 would be treated any differently than mine with 2,000. Unless CIC has concerns about legitimacy and so forth, I dont think it will play a role. However, that said, if CIC does suspect anything, I would assume that your status (work permit, trv, etc) would be vetted to a greater detail. if you didnt require an lmo and all else checks out, you should be good to go.

In other words, no, there is no specific criteria with regards to company size or turnover. The concerns CIC would have is legitimacy, taxes and authorization to employ foreign workers (meaning, you providing them with a work permit or they obtain an lmo). More than that is just going to the extreme...like criminality and so forth. Anyway, I wouldnt worry too much about the size or turnover, if all else is good.

Just my opinion! Maybe seniors have other thoughts...

please provide any information about your experience as CEC applicant..
my case :
1)employer legally registered for 10 years
2)only 2 employees in payroll under my employer

is this works for in CEC section as 1 year experience from a small company paying all taxes?
