Hi,

I have the a question regarding employer reference Letter for the second applicant . I see in my letter of invitation that I have received points for spouse for Language & level of education only. For work experience they have not given any points for him. In fact there is no criteria for foreign work experience for spouse. However in express entry profile I said 'yes' he has work experience. As someone said on the forum that say 'no' for his work experience on the ITA form. If I say no then it will be misrepresentation. If I say 'yes' then it will not be possible to get a reference letter from the current employer. So what is needed to be done?

Who said that? I would love to try whatever he/she smokes.

Answer "no" and include his work experience in the personal history section. No proof of employment will be required.

Hi,

Thanks again. Good to know I can do that. Somebody said "say 'no' for his work experience on the ITA form & no proof of employment will be required" But I was thinking If I say no then it will be misrepresentation.

The spouses' foreign work experience is irrelevant to the principal applicants' application. You only have to mention it in the personal history section, that's all.
