Hey all. I currently have an open work permit that expires May 22nd of this year.
I recently received my BC provincial nomination, and they supplied me with a work permit support letter to arrange a new work permit until my PR decision is made. I have been working with this company since November 18th 2019, so I am already working full-time.
I am going through the employer portal with my company to receive the offer of employment number as required to pick up a new work permit from a POE and ran into this question:

I am quite unsure about what we need to specify here. The work permit would be until a final decision is made from my PR application, and my employment is permanent with no end date.Expected duration of employment
Indicate in days, months or years the total duration of employment.
Note: Permanent resident programs and temporary work permits
Under certain permanent resident programs, candidates may be eligible to apply for a temporary work permit. In such cases, even though the job may actually be “permanent,” “indeterminate” or have no end date, employers submitting an offer of employment should still indicate the duration relevant to the temporary work permit. For example, under the Atlantic Immigration Pilot, candidates may be eligible to apply for a temporary work permit valid for 1 year. As the work permit will only be issued for a duration of 1 year, this duration should be reflected in the offer of employment submitted for the temporary work permit.
