Hi I have been in the same situation as you. The business slow down , but I need to have full time job . In my contract we had 40 h / week. By law full time job is when your week hours are no les then 30h. So we change 40h/week to full time job, and it was ok

And here you can find the law

Good luck.

Classification of Full-time and Part-Time Work Hours
This classification was approved as a departmental standard on June 21, 2010.

1
Full-time (work hours)
This category includes employed persons who usually worked 30 hours or more per week, at their main or only job.
2
Part-time (work hours)
This category includes employed persons who usually worked less than 30 hours per week, at their main or only job.

But what if he wants me to work part time for now and until the business picks up, he'll have me work full time again?
Because I think as long I have a full time job offer with the company, then I should be fine right?

Look do not create any problems in a future it's better to have st least 30 hours a week. That's it.

Does CIC care that much about after nomination status? shouldn't one be asking for PR according to their last/ not current experience?

Hi.. This is not my case, my employer can keep my full time hours even with the slow down..But after 3 month of my nomination, SINP contact my employer and asked to send them my work permit and last pay stub...

Good luck on your application!
