good day! We ( me and my wife) got our TRV and acceptance letter form the canadian embassy in Paris France last November 2012 telling us that we are legitimately allowed to enter canada. The problem is, the employer who gave us the LMO during that time did not win the bidding for the Canmore elevation ( where we will be working supposedly). Now she's telling us that she is freeing us, and we can look for another employer! All hell break loose because we already lost our jobs here in Spain. My question is, just in case we can find a new employer who will give us a positive LMO, do we need to apply for new TRV and WP again to The Canadian embassy in France? or are we allowed to travel with the TRV that we have ( valid til January 2015) with the acceptance letter and have the new LMO processed in the POE instead ??

Please enlighten us. we are totally lost alreadry.. toll number of CIC cannot be reached..

CIC call centre does not have access to your files overseas. Contact your embassy. Spain is visa exempt. Confused you have TRV.

Thanks for the reply. We are not Spanish Citizens yet, we are just permanent residents that why we need TRV to enter Canada. Going back to my first question: is it ok to travel to canada with the TRV and the new LMO just in case we can find new employer? We are just going to apply for the new Work Permit at the point of entry? anyone who has insights on this please?

The TRV was issued on the basis of the first positive LMO. You can board a plane on the strength of that TRV, but I don't think you'll be allowed in at the border because you'll have to disclose that the original job offer was withdrawn. Even if you don't disclose it, the officer might tell by looking up the LMO record and checking if it's still valid.

Best to confirm with the embassy whether you'll need a new TRV should you manage to get a new LMO.
