Friends,

No doubt, I am running late for FSW 2013 (NOC 1112 Financial & Investment analyst).

I will set for IELTS exam on 22-June-2013, Will get result after 2 weeks from that date.
I just got sealed & signed envelop from my University, by next 2days will send it to WES for ECA.

Bottom line is, more or less by 1st week of July I will get all required papers (ECA report from WES, IELTS etc.) to apply for FSW 2913.

Now please advice, will it be wise to apply at that time, will it be too late to apply under NOC 1112 Financial & Investment analyst, as 300 cap maximum & CIC not updating the status????

You have to take a chance.......your money will not be taken unless it is accepted......

Hi, I wish you the best of luck. However I think you should keep your expectations realistic, though.

I think it likely looking at how many members of this forum have already applied for 1112 that the cap is ALREADY full. By early July I am 99% certain it will be full. 2174, 2147 and 1112 look like the three most popular NOCs by a large margin.

However if you don't mind shouldering the costs of the IELTS test and the other documents then you have nothing to lose by trying (as coolguy says the processing fees will not be taken if the cap is full).

But I would already start to think about a backup option. If your application does not make it within the cap then it will be returned in its entirety to you including the supporting documents. The IELTS is always worth doing because if the cap is full you can still apply if you can secure a job offer, and even with a job offer the IELTS certificate will still be a requirement, and it is good for 2 years from the date you take the test.

So best of luck, but may be worth starting to look at FSW2 or PNP at the same time.

Thanks Cappuccino for informative reply.

Yes, I will check cap status at cic web before send the package but problem is CIC cap status update lately basis, as they said they will update once a week but wheres the update, so far!

I am not sure but seems people may get some extra time to fulfill the CAP, as FSW 2013 included ECA this time & declared the approved agencies name at end of April 2013, the agencies take minimum 1 month (or higher) to end the procedure (if sent documents is ok), without ECA report application for FSW will not be acceptable. Please comment on it. Thanks

I agree with Capppuccino. I think 2174, 2147 and 1112 will reach their cap by the end of this week (if they haven't already).

As we saw on this forum, many people received their assessments back from ECA in just a week or two by paying rush fees and/or submitting the assessment request as soon as the agencies were announced in April.

But nothing is stopping you from trying.

@mosharaf,

Sorry, but i would have a different opinion from other friends, as suggested here.

- firstly, forget about FSW 2013 as its already late for 300 cap in your NOC

- second, focus more on your preparation for IELTS, make sure you get high score in practice tests, else consider rescheduling your exam for a later date with full preparation. All I'm saying is don't rush for test with anything less than complete preparation from your end. You will only sit in your test scores until next year (if the cap resets). As it is valid for 2 years..say, even if you take IELTS test in Q1 2014, you can use the scores for applying until 2016 but if you take it now, the best you can use it is till 2015.
