embassy problem

can embassy has any problem of my ielts band requirements,
the band requirement of gbc college toronto is overall 6 bands,
and i have overall 6 band,
with 6 in s,6 in w, 6 in l, 5 in r,
and i also got the offer letter from college,
so if college accepted my bands then how can embassy refused my visa due to my bands,
i have applied again my file for same session ,
so what r my chances ?
plz tell me

Hi Harman,

Its sad that your visa got refused in first attempt. Since you have done B.Tech and got enrolled into PG diploma so as per embassy u need 6.5 IELTS bands and 6 in each so this seems to be a problem to me. You can consult your agent that if you can reappear for IELTS and get better scores.

I have also done B.tech CSE with 70% and passed it in 08. My IELTS score is overall 6.5 with S - 6.5, L- 7.5, W -5.5 and R -7. I have got unconditional offer from Centennial college in 1 yr PG diploma. I would like to know do my IELTS score is sufficient for embassy and I took this 15 months ago.

Hi Maan,

Although you have secured 6.5 overall in IELTS but there is also a condition for PG diploma to score 6 band in each module and i see that you are lagging that band in Writing (5.5) although i am not an expert but sense that these scores wont be sufficient as you have seen the message from other guy the main reason fro his visa refusal is low IELTS bands.

Hi hardeep,

I am searching for this question from long time. Verified it from many consultants and posted my question on many forums and most of them told me that one should not have less than 5.5 in any module and more than that they told me these are the requirements of most of the colleges not the embassy they just require overall 6. and I also checked SPP latest guidlines but never found anything like that and that is why I have not taken IELTS again. Have u witnessed cases refused just because of this reason. Can you provide me some more information on this.

1. your previous qualifications, studies, employement , language abilities r not matched to ur further studies,
but i am an ece engineer and want to do wireless & n/w course, which is of my field,
now i have reapplied my case in normal and also attached sop and a letter to visa officer for my clarification,
i have also showed the funds of 21 lakh in liquid with loan of 10 lakh.
my parents and my elder brother r my sponsors, they all r govt. employees,
so now wht r my chances to get the visa?
plz tell me"

And his IELTS scores are

6 bands, 5 in reading, 6.5 in l, 6 in w, 6 in s

So as far i sense it seems the problem is with the IELTS scores

your proposed studies r not reasonable in light of one or more of : ur qualifications, previous studies, employment,level of establishment, other educational opportunities in india or canada, language abilities, or ur future prospects and plans,

i think , it is not a band problem,
because today i checked the site of gbc college and their requirement is overall 6 bands, which i already have.
now i have reapplied my case in general and attached sop with my file for justification of matching of my studies and experience and also write a letter to visa officer of justification/clarification of my rejection point and also for reconsideration of my file and told him that it is my humble request to u sir, i have given u the clarification of my rejection point, if after this u have any doubt regarding my file then plz give me a chance to speak via personal interview/ telephonic interview

so plz tell me friends, what r my chances now?

im from pakistan and over all 6.5 but i think 6 in one module, do u qualify?????
