what type of information i have to give to the university as an identification to which i have applied to so that i can ask queries from them

Name, date of birth, application number and date, student number, course name and code.

your offer letter has a student number # or student ID on top left quote that rest all they can pull out from it. Also if its generic query you can just ask without any details of your but since you got your visa so i presume its personal to your case in which student # should suffice!!
