emailed Ottawa for an update as we are waiting on second medical for my spouse, so I was wondering if app had progressed at all, or just sits there, their response was:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please be informed that your application is being processed at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa as per our regulatory timeline. Please note that we are currently awaiting your spouse’s medical results before your file will be ready for finalization.

That sounds great if you ask me. From your timeline and their response it sounds like your case is approved and they are just waiting your spouse medicals.

How long did CIC took to reply you? I mailed them on Aug 3, asking for my visa office and have not heard anything from them

2 working days, sent it to them Friday afternoon, came back today

It means they can't do anything further with you file until they get your spouse's medical results.
