Email id mentioned in immigration allication blocked !!

Dear Friends,
My hotmail email account has been blocked and they are asking to provide the mobile number so that a code could be sent on my mobile, through which i can unblock my account. I had sent the mobile number but have not received the code yet. I don't have any idea whether it is normal and has happened with other fellows too or some hacker is behind it. I would be grateful if someone here could guide / help me in unblocking it.I can open another account but dont't want to take the risk at this point as i am already at RBVO stage and i have mentioned only this email id in my application to CIC. Pls help.

Immediate way out is send clarification letter to RBVO and suggest new email ID. No harm in doing it

Try sending mobile number again. If it doesn't work Contact help centre

Infact it's the opposite. Nowadays service provides use this latest strategy to make sure email a/c's aren't hacked. My gmail account is have a two step approach.
1. Provide the password
2. Provide the Mobile # to get the access code
Using the correct passwd and the access code only can one login to one's a/c. Isn't this a simple and effective solution in combating hackers?
In case you're using your personal laptop or desktop then there is an option to waive this generation of access code for a period of 30 days in GMAIL. Not sure about Hotmail

immediately write a letter to your visa post and tell them to updated your new mail id in your file and ask them to send all the future correspondence on your new mail id.

I think creating new email a/c and informing VO should be the option tried as the last resort.

then on that page select the product hotmail click continue then select Error 4: "Your account has been temporarily blocked" click continue then on next page click Error: "Your account has been temporarily blocked" check the thread or post your query there.

I also found the following:

1. If you request that we send a code to your mobile phone, keep in mind that text message delivery isn't
available in all countries or regions, or from all providers.

2. Text message delivery is subject to network delays, so it might take a few minutes to receive your code.
If you've waited more than 15 minutes and haven't received the code, try requesting another code.

3. To prevent abuse of Windows Live services, we limit the number of times you can request a code each
day. If you've reached the limit, you'll need to wait 24 hours before you can request a new code.

Maybe I guess, it could due to point # 1 that might be the cause of your problem. Needs verification as suggested by Pittabread
