I have waited for a week now after my medical exam.

It went well except I told the doctors about my OCD condition. I don't know if I will be refused because of that or not.

As far as the waiting is concerned. Normally it takes 1-4 weeks after the medical exam. It really depends on each case and luck.

I cannot wait to book my ticket too! Good luck everyone.

I dont think that OCD will have any negative effects on you getting your visa....

As a Doctor it would not make any sense ...

Do not worry

So you're a doctor? Great! I have a question for you if you don't mind. :)

I just got my medical request this morning and I am scheduled to have my medical exams done on Friday. However, I have a mitral valve prolapse with mild regurgitation. Do you think it can be a factor for refusal?

Sure!

What was the cause of it? did you have Reumatic fever when you were a children?

I infer you are completely asymptomatic and your condition does not affect your life at all, right?

if not I would love to have further information about you.... what is your age?

But initially I would not consider it to be a reason for refusal....

Its not fair...u ignored my question above.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. Yes, if I remember correctly, I had rheumatic fever when I was a toddler. I had undergone treatment until I was in high school. I forgot the name of the medicine but it was injected in my buttocks every month.

Lately, I was having trouble breathing so I decided to see a cardiologist. I had undergone 2d Echo and they found out that I have MVP with mild regurgitation. But the cardiologist told me it's no big deal, as he himself has the same condition as well. Anyway, it doesn't affect my daily life routine at all. :)

Don't worry about it then.. You are good..... You might not be able to exercise like others... Just maybe... But not big deal really..... Don't worry...

You don't even need to lie to doctors when you undergo medical examination..... Just tell him what you told me... He should react exactly the same way

Well, I can do push-ups from 15 to 20 counts at a time, and also pull-ups 5-8 counts at a time. Are those a good sign? :D

Thank you very much for the advice. I really appreciate it. :)

When did you submitted your application? I am still waiting for any response. I applied on 8th April 2015.

I submitted on Thursday evening, May 7, and received medical request this morning, May 11.
