Hi All,

I am a May 2014 CEC applicant, my 1st BOWP is expiring on 23rd Dec 2015.
My passport is also expiring soon for with i need to renew it.
Looking at the delay in processing of PR application i belive it is safe to apply for 2nd BOWP.
But i can only get back my new passport around October.Looking at the long processing time of work permit application i am thinking of applying for BOWP with my old passport and notify them about my new passport when i get it. If i apply for BOWP end of August most likely my application will be reviewed around mid December by which i would have my new passport.

My question is does anyone have experience in sending additional document to cpc vegreville where work permit applications are processed.If yes do you know the email address.

Please share your experience and suggestion.

Is your old passport going to last until end of next year? If not, i strongly encouraged you to apply with a new passport. If you apply with the old passport you will only get a new BOWP up to your old passport expiry date.

If your current work permit expires while your new one is in application/awaiting decision, you can still work under implied status.

My suggestion is save the hassle to go back and forth with CIC and apply with a new passport.
