Posting as most cases I see of this are for people applying for government jobs!
I want to apply for a job with a consulting company in Canada that takes projects with the Federal government. I meet all the requirements for experience, but they require a person to be eligible for a security clearance (which I cant get as a PR). Is it worth applying for Urgent Processing? If so, I was thinking of attaching the job description, my resume, and and a letter outlining how my experience meets the job requirements other than the security clearance. Asking here because I don’t want to do this if it would just delay my application or put scrutiny on my application (like getting a RQ or similar) that would put in limbo.
Current application status is waiting for LPP (test marked completed Oct 4). Thanks for advise!

I think this kind of situation can certainly be used however I think you would want to be in a situation where you already have a job offer from the employer. IMO simply wanting to apply does not make a case for urgent processing.

I also would like to do this, but in my industry you usually get 48 hours to take the offer, unfortunately. That won’t even be close to make that case… *sigh* I guess that’s a job opportunity gone, oh well another time.
