I recently completed my master's program at McGill University and am planning to apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). However, at one instance, My study permit expired during my studies because of a delay in funding from my scholarship sponsorship. despite applying for an extension and paying the restoration fee, I couldn't resume studying until I received the new permit. According to IRCC guidelines, restoring a study permit entails discontinuing studies until the new permit is obtained. Consequently, the university's policy required me to withdraw and reapply for readmission due to the loss of student status, causing a one-semester interruption. Will this affect my eligibility for the PGWP?

Yes, it may affect your PGWP. You need to ask for consideration with supporting evidence.
