Eligibility for Canadian Citizenship Application

Hi all,

My husband is looking to apply for Canadian Citizenship Application.
He moved permanently to Canada since Feb 1 2020. Before that, he worked in our home country and stayed in Canda for only 3 months. As of now, he has accumulated enough 1095 days.
However, since he only lived permanently in Canada since Feb 2020, he only filed tax for 2020year and 2021 year. He has not filed for 2022 yet, since it is not due yet.
Given the fact that he only has filed for 2 years, I want to check if he is eligible to apply for Citizenship in Canada now.

Depends upon his tax residency status in the year of those 3 months. Along with that, if he had any Canadian source income. Requirements say, tax filing "may" be needed, if you are required to.

My husband filed his tax with our home country for those 2 years, and he did not have any Canadian source income for those 3 months.
Does he need to file tax in Canada for those years?
