Electronics to buy in Canada or Home Country

Hello,

I am planning to move to Canada before Christmas 2015 on study permit to study in uOttawa. I wanted to inquire that are electronics items, specially a laptop and cell phone would be inexpensive buying from there as compared to Pakistan? I went through Best buy an wallmart for laptops and Rogers and Fido for cell phones. But could not decide. I have a refurbished Verizon Motorola droid razr M which I bought locally here.

Please suggest me if I will get a cellphone and laptop cheaper there or should I go with my Motorola?

its usually cheaper there than here in asia, but i suggest you carry a cell phone with you...which is what i will do as well..and I will be buying a new one upon landing
