Hi bud,

It happened to me once. I emailed the alias with the request number and indicated that they were late. I also highlighted on the ATIP website the section whereby they have to reply within a month and asked for the name of the entity I should connect with to file a complaint.

I got a reply acknowledging the delay and saying that they're sending it to me ASAP.

Most of the time, ATIP is punctual but at times they does mistakes. A month back, despite of clearly asking for Citizenship progress report, they emailed me copy of my application which I applied :o

Some of the readers here suggested, there is no harm in applying for the second report after 17th days or so, as a back up report.

I sent my first status request a few days past the due date. I got a reply in 2 days saying they marked my request as "priority". About a week later I sent the second status request and they replied me in 2 days saying they will send it to me asap. I received the ATIP in email later on the same day.

I'm sure sending email status request will speed up the process. My wife didn't send any status request for her ATIP request and it's 17 days past the due date.

I'm starting to get use to all government agencies being late...

Folks, thanks for all your replies. Just sent them a reminder email to ATIP-AIPRP@cic.gc.ca. Let's see what they'll come up with.

See, this is unacceptable. Service level continues to sink and we are getting used to it. I don't see our taxes sinking too though...

That's really funny!
it seems there is no real solid process inside the CIC offices and all depends on individual approaches and attitudes
you ask for something you get something else
you wanted something , you never get
you call them no answer
you write them no reply
quite unfair!

Same answer here, was due on April 18th. Asked them scans of physical file. When I'll get it, will request another one, also scan of the same thing. At least I can annoy them by asking to scan my application all over again.
