Hi guys.

Is there anyone on this forum who specializes in Instrumentation & Control and was able to land a decent job in Canada? Can they please share their experience?

Hi i am instrumentation and control but still looking for jobs!! market is too hard !!

Hi CVIF123, have you applied to any related jobs? was there any particular reason why they rejected your application? Do you have any affiliation with local bodies? Or any certifications?

I have the same problem with you, and I would like to get a job in this area as well. looks like its very competitive in Canada. I'm a new grad from university, and need to get my PR as well.

Firstly, some kind of recession here in Canada, oil price low, too much competition at this moment.

Second, it's difficult to get a job without local experience , international experience not considered

Thirdly, Still suffering from jobs those who already had local education and certification

yes, might be possible with local network but there should be a open position.

try for internship !!, directly go to company websites and see there!

the interns are mostly for people who are proceeding their degree. If they allow people who don't have jobs to go with interns, that would be prefect, but most cases we need to go with 'contracted' jobs.

CVIF123 did you try to get a provisional P.Eng. or Engineer in Training License from any of the engineering regulatory bodies (PEO, APEGA. APEGBC)? Were you able to land any interviews?
