Hi Everyone,

I'm currently employed as Control Panel tester which comes under NOC B-2241. I'm looking to apply for pr using express entry but im concerned if all the job duties listed in my job description match with the duties listed under my NOC. I'm just looking for some confirmation. Could someone please compare the two and let me know.

Duties listed in NOC
  • Design, develop and test power equipment and systems, industrial process control systems, telecommunication, broadcast, recording and audiovisual systems, microelectronic systems and circuits, computers, computer systems and networks, and computer software
  • Supervise the building and testing of prototypes according to general instructions and established standards
  • Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems other than aircraft electronics or instruments
  • Carry out applied research in fields of electrical and electronic engineering and physics under the direction of scientists or engineers
  • Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems
  • Write specifications, schedules and technical reports and control schedules and budgets.
Duties listed in my job description

  • Read and understand drawings, wiring schematics, and work orders and review Bill of Materials (BOMs) for wiring/layout control panels and any other components.
  • Lay out , wire and assemble panel to finish installing all necessary options as detailed using hand and power tools.
  • Competently interpret detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Conduct final test procedures on finished product and document results.
  • Adhere to current electrical legislation.
  • Perform daily operator maintenance checks on equipment and report any concerns to unit leader.
  • Identify and document improvement opportunities using established processes.
  • Perform documented quality assurance inspections.
  • Work closely with Engineering to develop and test new electrical products. This can involve installing electrical components on doors or bench testing. This may require working at heights and being able to use a scissor lift, genie boom or forklift.
  • Follow through design verification process and collect data as described by the engineering team. This may require analysis of data collection and recognizing trends.
  • Perform equipment maintenance tasks and troubleshoot equipment electrical issues.
