Hi,

I was looking for a program of master Eng based course (without research or prject) which takes 16 months or less to be completed in Quebec province my aim is the PR, I'm Algerian Engineer in Electronics(instrumentation) + some work experience with good french language package and I've taken all my university studies in french :

1- I want to enroll in Co op while studying to get some work ex which will enhance later my chance to get the PR or at least helps me to secure a job after graduating so please friends, guide me to programs with Co op.

2- I've found a program called "Maîtrise modulaire (OU DESS) en GÉNIE ÉLECTRIQUE Option Électronique " and this the link to the website "http://www.polymtl.ca/etudes/cs/electrique/option_electronique.php" what do you think about it (quality of education, job opportunities, diploma value in job market and else ) ?

3- Is there a low cost for other Electrical engineering programs ? please give me some links if you can or some key words to search in the right place.

4- what about Memorial univ of Newfounland : I've read about it's low tuition ?? what about jobs and PR ?

I'm waiting for your responses and I'm planning to apply for fall 2013.

Hi,

http://www.polymtl.ca/etudes/cs/en/electrique/option_electronique.php
This programme looks good. try your best to get admission in it. Studying in Quebec...with you French base..will be very helpful in getting direct CSQ and then PR.
Besides, École Polytechnique de Montréal is a reputed technical college.

According to this.. To get Master's degree , you need to complete all three modules (A)+(B)+(C). To graduate, students must successfully complete 45 credits in three modules worth 15 credits each: a core module, a specialization module and an integration module.

According to http://www.polymtl.ca/finances/secteuractivite/budget/paiementetude.php,
In Quebec, tuition fees are $ 68.93 per credit. Canadian students from outside Québec must pay an additional $ 119.99 per credit, as decreed by the Quebec government. For foreign students, the additional amount is $ 469.72 per credit.

So as an international student - your tution fees will be 68.93+469.72 = 538.65$/ credit
or total 538.65$ * 45= 24,239.25 $ (total tution fees).
Add to that other miscellnious university fees such as admsiions, lab fees, univ student association fees, health insurance etc .
Then your livng expenses atleast 11,400$/ 12 months livng expenses, airfare, immgrtaion application etc.

Even though it looks expensive, still... you as an Algerian (with French background), Quebec is definitely the best option for you.

Best of Luck.

Yes tiger thanks a lot man you are definetly helpful, yes even it's very expensive but I'm sure that it's deserve to try rather than going through FSWP or QSWP as they are lenthy routes, add to that, Canadian diplomas are rancked one of the best in the world and for who wishes to settle permanently in canada he must obtain a canadian diploma to compete with other job seekers.

SO, I will try hardly to get admission in one of Quebec universities, but I just wanna know about Financial assistance ?

I know even with these assistances, one still needs more to cover the expenses, by working on/off campus or by enrolling in Coop programs .

thank you
