there is mentioned that EILTS report should not be older than 1 year.
when does this calculation starts.
what if i apply to CIO and after 1 month my report expires. would they consider it or no.
or your report should not be 1 year old when u submit your application to visa office?

They only say "at the time of application". They don't actually specify if that is when the application is received by CIO or when the documents are received by the visa office. I think it could actually be down to the visa officer and whether he or she is in a good mood or not when they review your application.

There is definitely confusion here

The instruction guide says it should not be older than a year when you submit it. Same is submitted to CHC so I would assume it is CHC application date

PMM has stated on multiple threads that this date is from application to CIO

So I believe it depends on VO to decide

I also have the same confusion in my mind.......:(

i think it should be not older then 1 year when you submit it to the VO. you're not required to submit it to CIO, right? and you're not obliged to take the IELTS test before you submit your application to the visa office. so i think it is reasonable to calculate 1 year to the date of submission to the VO

As per my experience and my case it should not be older than one year when you submit your application to CIO Sydney. In my case I wrote IELTS in the month of March-09 and have sent application to CIO in January-10. After getting approval from them in the month of March-10 I submitted my full application to CHC New Delhi in the month of March-10 and I got the medical call on 1st of June-10.

So I am sure the cut off date for IELTS consider by CHC the date when we submit the application to CIO Sydney. (All this details you can seen in my signature too)

Best of Luck to all

Thanks

After getting approval from them on 1st of March-10 I submitted my full application to CHC New Delhi on 12th of March-10 and I got the medical call on 1st of June-10.

Guys, just do not be confused! Read more official guides and everything will be fine! ;D

In OP 6 you can read that "The date when the your application is submitted to Sydney CIC - serves as a lock-in date".

So, just relax... ;D

hi everyone,
just recieved my AOR.

now again same confusion, what should i do with my EILTS report.
it expired in Sep 2010. i applied in may 2010(i also sent CIO my EILTS report copy with application) and i was suppose to get response in Aug.

now i read somewhere that EILTS should be valid from applcation to VO.

please help me with this.

Just read my previous message in this thread... Don't you trust an official information? Just download OP6 guide and there you will find the answer. Do not trust forums - trust the official data and guides.

;D

thank but where can i find OP6 guide.
i am trying to find on CIC but cant.

OK. Take this one - www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/.../op/op06-eng.pdf

page 20 pt. 9.3

Quatation:

"Documenting applicant's submission to the visa office

"The application received date in CAIPS will remain as entered at the CIO. This date will also serve as the lock-in date.""

Enjoy! ;D
