EI/CRB

Hi everyone!

I tried looking for it online but I couldnt find the exact answer. My student visa just expired last November, already aplied for PGWP and currently on impled status. My SIN also expired last Nov. I just lost my job because of Covid so I was hoping I could apply for EI/CRB. But accdg to the website, SIN should be valid. I read somewhere that someone was able to apply for CERB on implied status. If so, is this also the case with EI/CRB?

CERB is closed as of December 2.

You have to apply to update your temporary SIN once you get your new work permit. Then you should qualify for EI as long as you meet the other requirements.
