Hello again guys I have a new question I like to ask who have opinion. I have now OWP and my employer release me already. Now I have no job because I go looking for a job. It is ok to apply for EI because I am apply for PR. If I get EI is it negative effect to my PR application? I so confused I hope someone can give opinion about my case. :(

Assuming you have enough hours to apply for EI you are eligible for it as you have an Open WP and can take any job. It shouldn't have any effect on your PR application, unless it was based on a permanent job offer from an employer.

Hi PMM I work as live in caregiver Aug 2010 to Jan 2013 I don't know if it is enough hours for EI. And what do you mean based on permanent job offer from employer? Thanks for your opinion.

1. Depending on the Region where you live, you would have had to work for between 420 and 700 hours in the past 52 weeks to be eligible http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/ei/types/regular.shtml#Number
2. As you were working as an LCP you should have enough hours.
3. As you applying under LCP program the comment on applying with a job offer doesn't apply to you.
4. As an aside, if people post the whole story, their category and how they are applying, it would be easier to give a complete answer, rather than a piece at a time.
