My husband was just telling how he’d rather learn french than applying for an extra diploma.. but his french is below average (sucks) I’m not sure he’d be able to get a passing score on the TEF exam!!! Do you know anyone who actually did that and succeeded?
On another note... our diplomas are taking so long to be issued from our university! Is this normal?? Did your diploma take a month or so to be issued??

To be honest all the feedback I saw online on TEF is that it is not easy. It is also difficult to find resources to study from. He would probably need a training course.

If you mean my university certificates and transcripts, they took from 2 to 4 weeks ,depending on the university.

Thank you for replying back , there’s alot of info we need to gather before applying.
Also if anyone know if we need to get our marriage certificate translated? I heard about "betaqet 3ella”?? I’m not sure what that is??

You will need to either issue your official documents in English (or French) or translate them. Marriage Certificates and Birth Certificates can be issued in English from 3abaseya الأحوال المدنية or translated at Ministry of Health. Police certificates can be translated at Ministry of Justice.

Not sure what you mean, but if you mean قيد عائلي this is not required for express entry, unless mentioned otherwise.

Hello again,
We will be sending our bachelors degrees and transcripts soon to get ECA.
I’m going to go with IQAS instead of WES because i read alot of bad reviews lately.

The university with put the degree and transcripts in a sealed envelope and stamped from the outside.
Is there anything else we need ? Any other forms?? Or that will do?
Can i put both envelopes ( mine and my husbands) in one big FEDEX envelope??

I want to make sure I am doing WES ECA right.

I am adding postgraduate certficate to the report which i already did for bachelor
-it mentions “Please include your secondary education and higher education study for analysis.” So shall I include high school and university (again)?


-In the "What credentials have you earned?" section, shall I add the bachelor which is already evaluated or only the new one ?


-It says last it will be sent to IRCC, so is this ok if I did not apply for ITA yet ?

For Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), they are asking that any translation done outside Canada shall be notarized. If I got an Arabic birth certificate translated from certified translation, will that be sufficient?
Same question for work experience documents.

Hope all of you doing great. I am finalizing my e-APR. In the personal history section, I am asked to do the below:
"List any organizations you have supported, been a member of or been associated with at any time. Include any political, social, youth or student organization, trade unions and professional associations". Describe what you were doing during this period & name of organization,... etc

I am an engineer and I am a member of the Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers (nrkabet el mondseen). Should it be added? If yes, while I am adding being a member of the syndicate, this warning appears "Any period of time you indicate as being a member of an organization will not count as part of the 10-year personal/address history you are required to provide"

What should I do in this warning, should I add this membership?, anyone had faced this before?, knowing that I was not doing anything with the organization, I was just registered as a member. Please advise as soon as possible as this is the only thing to submit the application. Much appreciated.

Hello all,
I’m in a situation that is really making me consider the whole journey of applying
We’ve asked for our university diplomas and transcripts over 2 months ago (still at the wizara)
Did ANYONE go through this??? I’m in Dubai so I’m not able to go and kick them in the gutts and they don’t answer their phone.
This is taking too long and ridiculously frustrating.
Please advise me if you went through something similar.

Does the translation office has to provide a paper that they are certified or just their stamp on the translated documents shall work? Does it happen that you know certified translation office(s) in Cairo? There are many offices around that claim so, but knowing which one has good credibility might need people experience.

You are welcome. The translator should just provide an affidavit saying that their office is competent in translation services and the translation is true and accurate. Any translation office has a stamp and an office should be ok. I translated at Transtec in Makram Ebeid. Don't bother yourself about certificates of translators.

Best is to issue government documents in English (Birth and Marriage certificates at Ministry of Interior مصلحة الأحوال المدنية بالعباسية)
Alternatively you can translate Birth Certificate at Ministry of Health and Marriage Certificate at Ministry of Justice, but Ministry of Interior is better, as they issue an official document in Arabic/English.

I think better to skip. I also have the same case but didnt mention it. I read somewhere here in the forum that someone did that, and it caused some confusion and possibly a delay.

Thanks a lot for your reply. This is the only thing I have to finalize to submit. So please, Do you mean that this someone mentioned it and it caused delay or he skipped?
Did you submit your application without mentioning? and Did you write about that in the explanation letter? I mean do we need to explain why didn't include it as we were not doing any activities with the syndicate? Thanks again
