Hello there

I just got my ITA in yesterday's Draw. and I have a couple of questions in regards to the PR application:
- Regarding the address history: should i include the address of places that i have visited for training or vacation? for ex. I travelled to the UK and Germany before each for 2 months for training. or I would visit my father for the summer vacation in KSA. I'm not sure if they can be considered living addresses.

- I also have a question in regards to my work experience and the military service: I have worked as a doctor, resident in a university hospital for 2 years, and in the middle of this time I served in the army for 5 months within the same medical speciality then got a medical exemption. My work considered the army time as انتداب او اعارة to the army and it is considered as part my Medical Residency. so the reference letter is for 2 years including this army time ( but it is not mentioned in the letter). Do i need to clarify this part in the letter of explanation?? I'm afraid that it can be confusing to have the employment and military service enlisted in the personal activities.

- about the travel history, I have 3 passports, should I write every travel history in them? if so, my English name was different in the previous 2 passports. so should I then mention in the personal history that I had used other names before?

-IMO they aren't address histories, but only places where you lived and worked.

-I'm in the same situation but I really wasn't so sure about that myself, what I did was give CIC a continuous employment letter from 2012 to today (which had a military service year in between) but the letter said from 2012 to present, while at the same time I told them about my military service from 2013 to 2014, too bad I can;t give a definite answer cause my application isnt finalised yet, but its been 6 months and I didnt get rejected till this point lol, 4 months ago they asked about my military service in details btw
My opinion is, you get an employment letter from your employer, you send it as it is, it's not your problem, if the CIC officer found it confusing they will ask your employer not you, and if your employer kept you on contract during your service then who cares

Thanks man for your reply, much appreciated... these questions made me think, maybe it was better to consult a laywer from the start ... I'm concerned to make any mistake

- so I won't include the vacation or training travels. But I shouldn't include my father's address in KSA even if I had a yearly residence permit in KSA till I was 24 y o ? I used to go visit my father in the midterm vacation or summer vacation. But I didn't work there.

- I'm thinking to explain the situation in a letter of explanation but at the same time I don't want to highlight it, especially I worked in a governmental university hospital, that I guess wouldn't be cooperative if the CIC contacted them, like most governmental places....
what do they might ask about the army, other than the questions in the APR ?

- about the old passports, it is a small change in the vowels in my names like sharief and sherif. but if I'm going to mention all my travels, then I'm going to upload all my passports, that why I thought about that q of having other names before ...

Little tip for anyone planning to get medical done in the Anglo-American hospital... DON'T wear sandals, and for the ladies high heels are out of the question. They are doing renovations and the ground is completely covered in sand... wala akinina fe el sa7el :)

Bos ya sidi,

You can do everything without a representative, however, your case seems a little complicated and a rep can be much safer lel asaf.. But as long as you don't HIDE info from CIC or lie in your application you should be safe. Some officers are understanding and will demand extra documents and clarification, and some are really cruel and will just reject your whole application. Most rejections are due to missing PCCs and failure to scan all stamps on passports

-Mesh 3ayz afti lol, but where you 'lived' IMO is where you studied or worked, vacations aren't residence places, you can ask about this in a new thread and many members will be able to help.

-LOE is a very useful tool that you can use to support your case, they do look at it and quote it, I had a visa refused in the past and so I answered YES to one statuary question and explained why I got refused in my LOE, the visa officer wrote down on my file that the applicant had a visa refused and its explained in his LOE document number #####, according to my GCMS notes, so I suggest you do use it to your favour. At least it will prove your good intentions, they dislike people who intentionally hide info.
I'm not sure what;s better to use government or private experience but I used the private one, this is were the rep is useful..
They requested military details, so I uploaded shahadet el geish scanned with a certified translation and filled the form they sent me, they asked where I served and mandatory or job service, whether I was in any active combat and why I'm no longer in the military. It prolongs the background check significantly.

-Lol, no idea! get a rep or ask old members here, you'll most probably get all your answers through the forum, start a thread with all your questions and you may not need a rep at all.

So happy I found this topic, I have a question regarding PCC and I hope someone can clear this out for me
Currently, I live in the U.S so how can I get PCC from Egypt? I mean what is the best and right way to get it in terms of time and money. Does anyone have experience with that?

- You can visit your nearest Egyptian Consulate and apply there.
- Fastest option is to fill the PCC form and do the fingerprints then send the form yourself to a family member to complete the process.
- Your family member should head first to any ministry of foreign affairs office 3ashan ye3mel tasdee2 3ala 5etm el consulate
- Next step is to stamp the paper men "el adela el gena2eya" fel 3abaseya which basically says you don't have any previous criminal offences. The stamp goes where the fingerprints are (back side of the paper)
- Next is the translation and it's preferred that you do it at the ministry of justice translation office in lazoghly (floor 13 or something), and that's because they stamp it with 5etm el nesr, so it's still considered a government issued paper. Takes around 1.5 hours. There's another stamp which might be kinda useless (I did it anyway) which you can do at the floor above (maktab el tasdi2at). Takes about 40 min.
- Finally, ask your family member to scan everything and send to you.

About the first option, I've already tried twice emailing Egyptian Consulate in DC but they never replied (as expected o_O), just wanted to check if it's ok to go there directly without an appointment since it will be a few hours drive from where I live instead of going there and someone says fot 3alena bokra ya sayed :D

I tried to call them today but no answer, so they don't reply to emails and they don't pick up calls I really don't know what those people do :mad:, what is the point of having them in the first place, they are getting paid so they are supposed to do their job

For my full time job (primary occupation), I indicated working hours in EE profile as 56 hrs/week (this includes 8 hrs of rest).. Hence, it is 48 hrs/week excluding breaks (6days*8hrs)

Now, after ITA, im not sure what my employer will write but I could speak with him to just write 56 (hope it works).. What is your advice...

I also worked in a part time job with different NOC during the same period for like 3 hrs/day... It is in the work history but not affecting my CRS... would CIC think it is too much work :/? Hwa da fe masr mmkn yb2a 3ady bs ana al2an y7s eno el wa2t kter awy.. it is like 9+3=12 per day...

I can obtain proofs for both but im just concerned.. please help ya regala as am running out of time :( :( :( :( .. I tried so long for el bta3a de....

it's not legal inCanada nor in Egypt to work more than 44 hrs/week, with 42.5hrs/week is the norm. so try to stick to 42.5 and don't include any other job, otherwise they'll consider both part-time and not full-time
