Hello, everyone.
Did you provide your old passport with your e-APR (online) application? Did we have to? Could not providing it be the cause of the delay?

You don't have to provide it. I guess if they wanted it, they would've asked for it.

They ask for it if they wanted it. They asked for mine, so I provided all the ones for the past five years. Anything that had a travel stamp.

Just an update, I sent my passport to the cairo visa office on Monday and Tuesday I receieved an email from them that my visa has been issued and that I should pick up my passport starting Sunday. So I am happy cairo visa office picked up the speed.

Wow! That was extremely fast! Congratulations!
Any explanation why some applications are processed extremely fast while other applications are completely neglected?

I have a feeling it is because I don't have an extensive travel history. I haven't lived more than 6 months anywhere in last ten years. This is the only thing that makes sense.

Me too, I only traveled to 3 countries besides Canada, and my maximum stay is less than 2 months! Yet, I am waiting for more than 19 months now since AOR and nothing! Stuck at the damn security!!!

You definitely have the right to be frustrated, 19 months is way too long. I waited for the province nomination for nearly a year and that was difficult so I can't imagine how you are feeling. Isa khair and things will speed up for you. Best of luck.

You are telling CIC that you lived in egypt for example from 1970 to 1 dec 2015 (for example)

your pcc cannot be from before 1 dec 2015, it should be after that for example any PCC after 2 dec 2015 is a valid pcc for egypt because if you did any crimes in the period you lived there it will appear on it

Don't think too much into it, if you get a pcc now it will be valid
also for the country you live in, the pcc should be veyr recent because if it expires while they are processing ur application they may request another one

As we said earlier and keep repeating: it's fine as long as it's no older than 6 months
